01. Who is the ideal family for this model call?
We welcome all family structures, including single-parent households! Our main requirement is that everyone participating is fully on board and excited to be there. The best photos happen when the whole family is engaged; if a family member is hesitant or doesn’t want to be there, it directly impacts the final look of your portraits. Since these images are for our professional promotional materials, we need this to be a high-energy, joyful experience for everyone. Please speak with your partner and children beforehand to ensure everyone is ready to give their best energy!
02. What are the styling requirements for participation?
Because these sessions are used to create our professional promotional materials, maintaining a specific editorial aesthetic is essential.
All clothing and footwear must be clean, ironed, and in excellent condition.
Because we use this application for various projects throughout the year, specific color palettes and styling guides are shared in depth only with finalist families.
Once you receive the detailed guide, you will have the opportunity to review the requirements and make an informed decision on whether to move forward or decline the session.
Please note: Adherence to the color palette is crucial to our creative vision. Failure to follow the assigned styling may result in the session being dismissed to ensure the final materials meet our professional standards.
03. What should we bring to the session?
Just yourselves and a positive attitude! To ensure the best results during the limited Golden Hour window, we recommend arriving with children who are well-rested and have had a full meal prior to the session.
You are responsible for your own wardrobe and should arrive at the location completely dressed and ready as there is no time for on-site changing.
04. How long is the session and when does it take place?
Sessions are approximately 1 hour long. To capture that beautiful, glowing light you see in our portfolio, we shoot exclusively during Golden Hour (the hour right before sunset).
05. What happens if we are running late?
Punctuality is essential for a successful session. Because we shoot exclusively during the short window of Golden Hour, our start and end times are firm. We cannot shoot once the sun goes down, as it won’t align with the aesthetic for this project.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, the session is considered cancelled and your $50 commitment fee is forfeited. We highly recommend arriving 10 minutes early to ensure your family is ready to make the most of that beautiful light!
06. What if it rains?
Since we shoot outdoors, we keep a close eye on the weather. If it rains, we will notify you as soon as possible to reschedule for the next available date that works for everyone.
07. What kind of editing is included?
Every delivered image receives our standard professional editing, which includes color correction, exposure adjustments, and cropping.
08. How many images will I receive?
You will receive between 30 to 60 high-resolution digital images. The final number depends on the family dynamic and how well the children collaborate during the session.
09. Can I print my photos?
Yes! Your gallery includes a full print release, giving you the freedom to print your images at any lab of your choice.
10. How are the photos delivered?
Your images will be delivered via a private online gallery. They are high-resolution digital files with no watermarks.
11. How long does it take to get our photos back?
You can expect to receive your private online gallery within 2–3 weeks of your session date.
12. Who owns the rights to these images?
By participating in this model call, you are signing a Model Release that grants us full Commercial Rights to the images. This means we may use them for any professional marketing, including our website, social media, advertisements, and printed promotional materials.
13. Is this session truly free and what is the $50 fee for?
Yes. We are waiving our standard $695 session fee in exchange for your family’s time, styling, and participation as models for our brand. Because this is a professional collaboration for our promotional materials, we retain the creative lead on the session, including the location, aesthetic, and artistic direction.
To secure your date on our calendar, we require a $50 commitment fee. This fee is to show your commitment to the project and ensures our time and resources are protected to avoid no shows and cancellations. Aside from this commitment to hold your spot, the portrait experience and your digital gallery are provided at no cost!
14. What if I change my mind about the photos being posted?
We want all of our families to be happy with their experience and their portraits! If, after the session, you decide you no longer want your images used for our marketing or request that we remove them from our platforms, we will be happy to do so.
However, because this session is a professional collaboration intended for our business growth and commercial use, you will be responsible for the full session fee of $695. This payment covers the professional time, talent, and editing resources invested in a session that can no longer be used for its intended promotional purpose.
